The laws that regulate trucking are complicated and extensive. Marc Fisher is the Executive Director of the Illinois Truck Enforcement Association and will discuss which laws apply to landscaping companies, including: common overweight issues, proper plating of vehicles, interaction with law enforcement and what commercial drivers need to know during a traffic stop. Attendees will gain a thorough understanding of the new requirements and what actions must be taken to avoid fines. Additionally, with equipment theft on the rise, Marc will address how companies can protect their equipment out on the road and what to do in case of theft. Finally, he’ll provide an overview of ITEA and provide apps and resources available to you.
