How a “Backlash” on native plants affects members of the landscape industry. How to define “right plant, right place.” This phrase has meaning at different scales and with different contexts and might not mean what you think it means. With native plants, we need to set our audience up for success. It’s not enough to sell them with a too-rosy picture of what native plants can do or how they’re different from non-natives. It’s in our interest to help them be successful.
